The Poor Rich Kollective hosted their 5-year Anniversary Event, Artistry Expo. The Expo was a two-day event with a Visionary Experience on Saturday, January 25th, 2025 and a Gala on Sunday, the 26th.
Poor Rich Kidzz is a 501(c)3 organization in South Carolina. The PoorRichKollective is committed to propelling individuals into their maximum potential through creative arts, entrepreneurship, and personal development, while creating a cohesive society that embraces art and advocacy to achieve community elevation.
The Saturday evening event, the Visionary Experience, featured speakers discussing banking, entrepreneurship, and leadership and rappers expressing their artistry through their music. Attendees were seated at tables where they could actively participate in creating their own personal vision boards during speaker presentations. There were vendors in the building selling jewelry, herbs and oils, clothing and accessories, and bags.
Ms. Tarsha Anderson-Laboard was the first speaker. Owner of Bawse Thangz Consulting, she assists women with financial literacy, tax preparation, business setup and consulting. Her emphasis was on setting up a business for success by incorporating, getting an EIN, filing taxes, having a business address, and also maintaining personal credit. Ms. Anderson-Laboard was followed by Lashawn Rembert, The Jump Coach. She honored the Kollective for putting in the work at building their organization as they celebrated their 5-year anniversary. Mr. Shabar Coefield of Pinnacle Financial Partners shared his story about how he became a banker and some of the technical aspects of financial planning. This was followed by a Q&A with the three presenters. There was a brief intermission where vendors highlighted their businesses.
JPower, founder of the Rise&Shine brand, motivational speaker, and author took to the stage and spoke on different aspects of leadership. He shared his story about how his choices led him to incarceration as a teenager and how he had to do a self assessment on his predicament. He touched on the ways in which we become leaders in whatever space we occupy in the world by sharing his personal journey.
The final speaker was Cartha Gabriel Cartwright III, a Hospitality Consultant and author shared the value of mental health and dealing with personal trauma to be more effective in the world.
The evening concluded with @KarolinaKhris and @JayTee sharing their art through music.
